The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley is pleased to announce the award recipients of the 2021 CFFRV Scholarship Program.
Scholarships totaling $1,441,850 for use during the next four years were recently awarded to 330 area students.
These students, who will attend colleges and universities throughout the United States, will join 272 other students continuing their college education with a renewed CFFRV Scholarship Program award.
The CFFRV Scholarship Program consists of more than 200 separate scholarship funds created by generous individuals, businesses, and organizations who establish specific criteria for the administration of their scholarships. Applications are reviewed by a volunteer Scholarship Committee comprised of community members.
“We were once again amazed by the time and dedication of the volunteer committee who spent countless hours reviewing applications,” said Austin Dempsey, CFFRV’s Scholarship Committee chair and vice-chair of the Board of Directors. “Their commitment to honoring this program is incredible.”
Due to the circumstances brought on by COVID-19, the CFFRV Scholarship Team carefully reviewed and discussed applicants’ submissions via Zoom. The CFFRV thanks the Scholarship Committee for adapting to a virtual meeting format to ensure the process was managed as efficiently and effectively as usual.
Since the organization’s inception in 1948, the program has awarded more than $20 Million in scholarships.
