All Fox River Valley students in grades K-12 are encouraged to submit their artwork for consideration for the St. Charles Arts Council (SCAC) annual Student Art Show. The deadline to submit is Friday, March 14. There is no entry fee to participate, and any medium except videos will be considered.
“More than 145 student artists submitted work last year,” stated Kathryn Hill, executive director of the SCAC. “These kids are incredibly talented and we are happy to exhibit their work.”
The exhibit will be held from April 12 through May 3 at 121 N. 2nd Street, Suite H, St. Charles.
Receptions for the student artists will be held April 12. Elementary students will be featured from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and middle school and high school students will be featured from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m..
“We are splitting the receptions simply due to space constraints. In the past, we’ve had as many as 350 people attend the student art show receptions and we were afraid that would have our gallery busting at the seams!” said Hill.
