Observations of the September 11, 2001 tragedy in the U.S. includes at the Commander Dan Shanower Memorial in Naperville in the afternoon Thursday, Sept. 11. Dan Shanower was a naval intelligence officer from Naperville who was killed when a plane was flown into the Pentagon building in Arlington, Va..
