Chicago Steel advance to Clark Cup final with a 3-2 overtime victory Saturday

Chicago Steel’s Matteo Pietroniro is in a battle with Muskegon Lumberjacks’ Alex Yakovenko during the second period of game three of the U.S. Hockey League Eastern Conference finals Friday at Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva. With a 3-2 overtime victory Saturday, the Steel advanced to the Clark Cup final for the second time in the last three seasons.

The Steel will play the Western Conference champion, Sioux Falls Stampede, in a best-of-five series Friday, May 10 and Sunday, May 12 in Sioux Falls. The Steel will be host to game three Friday, May 17 and, if necessary, game four Saturday, May 18.
