Plano Rotary Club seeks new community interaction and encourages the public to learn more about Club membership as it commemorates this year 75 years of community involvement, service, and contribution.
Rotary, established in 1905, is an international association to connect people who work together to solve community problems, to provide humanitarian aid, and to promote goodwill and peace.
Plano Rotary Club meetings are held over the lunch hour and offer members a professional networking opportunity and intriguing guest speakers, as well as community news.
Rotary contributions to Plano include providing funds of two scholarships for graduating high school students, sponsor of the Plano High School Interact Club, funds for shelterboxes to provides shelter for disaster victims, maintain the Cook Woods natural environment for use by the Boy Scouts and other youth groups, be a partner with the Fox Valley Family YMCA to develop a community park, and making annual contributions to several funds such as the Plano Community Garden, Kendall County Community Food Pantry, the Friends of the Library, Plano’s Rockin’ Christmas, Kendall County CASA, and the World Resource Food Bank.
