The Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington Street, Oswego, will be host to many events for seniors. All events will take place at the Oswego Senior Center, unless otherwise noted.

• Doctors Notes Series: “Understanding Your Health and Your Options to Control Your Health”, Tuesday, Sept. 24, 11 a.m..
Dr. Nick Szopinski, of The Chiropractic Place, Oswego will present tips for understanding your health and helpful options to control health naturally at the Oswego Senior Center. Dr. Szopinski attended Western Kentucky University and is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. He focuses on patients improving their health. RSVP to 630-554-5602.

• Medicare Discussions: Medicare General Information, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 11 a.m..
Medicare information, including what is Medicare, what are the options and time frames for registering will be presented by: Penny Van Cleve. Those who need individual help with Medicare questions can set an appointment with a SHIP counselor. Monday 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. to noon. • Portion Control, Friday, Sept. 27, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m..
No matter what foods you choose, how much you consume plays a large roll in your nutrition. Come to the Oswego Senior Center to learn about what proper serving sizes are, how we can better estimate them and how our minds are often influenced by portion cues around us. • Medicare Forum, Tuesday, Oct. 8, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m..
The Oswego Senior Center will present the Annual Medicare Forum for seniors. Those turning 65, or those who want to learn about the changes for 2020, can learn from a panel of Medicare experts. Topics will include Medicare basics, 2020 changes for Medicare, information about Supplement Plans, Medicare Advantage Plans, how Veteran Assistance can help veterans and spouses, what to expect at the hospital with Medicare and how rehab works with Medicare. Panel experts are from NEIL Agency on Aging, Kendall County Veterans Assistance Commission and Hillside Rehab and Care. Hillside Rehab and Care is sponsor of the event and free breakfast. • Crafters, Artists, and Artisans Wanted!, Annual OSC Holiday Craft Fair, Saturday, Nov. 16, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m..
Oswego Senior Center has booth space for all crafters, artists and artisans to sell your original, handmade items. The Holiday Craft Fair will be held at the Oswego Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. Early bird registration is through September 30. Gym floor space: One space $50; two spaces $70; three spaces $85. Dining room space: One space $40; two spaces $55. After October 1: one space $50, two spaces $75, and three spaces $90. Electric is available for $15. Crafter must supply their own table. Call 630-554-5602 for an application or more information.
