Design And Worth

When you were just a kid, with all that childhood stuff,
Were you aware you were a diamond in the rough
And, like a diamond, measured for potential worth,
A lengthy process that began before your birth.
But this does not relate to fame and fortune here;
Your “average” life has been the diamond, accents clear.
Despite the Free Will blessing God has given us,
He means each life to be of utmost worth, a plus.
For what you say and touch and feel and love will sway
The atmosphere around you in a fervent way
Through influence alone, by who you’ve come to be;
All this beyond our ken, what we’re allowed to see.
So let this sink in just a bit, evoke a smile;
You’re worth far more than you may think, and by a mile.
While this comparison to value may amuse,
To be a diamond in God’s eyes, you can’t refuse!
