Oswego High School will be host to Oswego School District 308’s first College and Trade Expo from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 12. The College and Trade Expo will be open to all high school students from Oswego High School, Oswego East High School, and other Fox Valley area schools. Students and families are encouraged to come and make use of this great event!
The College and Trade Expo is meant to help students and families learn about the career and educational opportunities offered by community colleges, vocational programs, union construction apprenticeships, and businesses which can lead to future well-paying employment/career opportunities which do not require a four-year bachelors degree.
Confirmed attendees will include:
Joliet Junior College Veterinary Technician Program; Joliet Junior Collet Culinary Program; Joliet Junior College Vocational Skills Food Service Program; Kishwaukee Community College with information about agricultural and diesel programs; Waubonsee Community College Fire Science Program; Waubonsee Community College Nursing Program; Waubonsee Community College Massage Therapy; Waubonsee Community College Business and Career Technologies Programs (Example: HVAC, Welding, CAD); Makeup First School; Hair Pros Cosmetology Oswego; Midwest Barber Academy from Bolingbrook; VALEES; Multiple Construction and Machine Tool Union Apprenticeship Programs.
