The Kiwanis Club of Aurora board at its monthly meeting in May decided to donate to two Aurora food pantries in this time of distress, and contributed to the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry and the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry. Each pantry received $5,000.
Club president Steve Andras said, “It is only fitting that we give back to our community, particularly now when so many are experiencing difficulty. Consistent with our core purpose ‘to improve the quality of life for children and families’ we are pleased to donate $5,000 each to the AAIFP and the MWFP.”
The Club’s weekly meetings are in hiatus because of COVID-19. The Club is striving to keep active in community during this pandemic with several fundraisers.
