Aurora has become a magnet for the technology industry, with three major tech companies relocating to the City of Lights in the past year alone.

Last week, Scientel Solutions, a leading innovative telecom company, finalized the relocation of its global headquarters from Lombard to Aurora.

Designed and developed by Cordogan, Clark & Associates, the state-of-the-art global headquarters, located at 2021 N. Eola Road, reflects the company’s collaborative and innovative processes and supports the needs of its customers, partners and employees around the world.

“We are thrilled to see the new office finally open and continuing to enhance the quality of life for our customers, partners, employees and community,” said Nelson Santos, president and founder of Scientel Solutions. “The building will allow us to expand our resources within the engineering, technical and administrative teams as we seek to fill several new roles in these areas. We have experienced a significant amount of growth over the past 10 years and needed a space that aligned with the future of the company. As we continue to expand into new markets and offer innovative new services, Aurora was the easy choice for our global headquarters. Aurora is becoming a city of the future, and we are proud to contribute and be a part of the growth.”

In addition to the new Global Headquarters, Scientel Solutions has 12 other offices throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

“To say we are honored and excited to welcome the global headquarters of Scientel Solutions would be a sheer understatement,” said Aurora mayor Richard C. Irvin. “Throughout this process, we have already seen the impact Scientel will bring to the City of Lights. Nelson Santos and his team have immersed themselves in the community as advocates and volunteers while preparing to open the doors to a world-class facility. It speaks volumes that Scientel has not only moved its global headquarters to Aurora, but has also proven to be a stalwart corporate partner committed to the betterment of our city.”

Scientel has been heavily involved with the Aurora community by supporting and participating in a variety of organizations, including Hesed House, Aurora Veterans Advisory Council, Fox Valley Marine Corps, Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce, Invest Aurora, and several others.

Mayor Irvin often has referred to Aurora as makng a transition from being known as the City of Lights to becoming the City of Light Speed because of the City’s keen focus on new technology initiatives and the growing interest of tech companies to move to the municipality.

Earlier this year, Simplify Healthcare, a health care technology and software solutions firm, relocated its Chicago regional headquarters from Naperville to Aurora. Founded in 2008, the Michigan-based firm moved into 6,430 square feet of space at 600 N. Commons Drive in Aurora.

Last Summer, NEOTech, an $850 Million firm with 15 sites across North America that designs, builds and manufactures products used by companies in their technological systems, moved its Naperville offices to downtown Aurora in the former Aurora National Bank building.
