As human, we may never grasp the strength of God;
To fully grasp an understanding of how broad
His powers are, perhaps to even recognize
At least a pittance where we’re standing in His eyes.
Another thing, why are we shaped the way we are?
To see what we would do with intellect? How far,
In what direction, with what purpose, good or bad?
You might say we are seedlings in God’s greenhouse here.
To watch us grow, to see what we’d become—a clear
And present compliment to His unique design,
Or just another failed experiment at best;
We should see this—it’s obvious we are a test!
Most every other specie knows how to live at birth;
Not us; it seems at birth we’re tested as to worth.
Each stage of life has been a test which we must pass.
Although not graded, we will each acquire a class.
And this is where God’s humor will come into play—
For how we see ourselves may not be what He’d say.
That this verse may cause you to think remains my hope;
Despite the subject being quite beyond our scope.
