Understanding, seeing the goal, finding a relevant way

Relevant notes:

• In spite of the problems of wide range with the existent COVID-19 situation, it is important we understand and take the right approach, even with complications. We were never promised a rose garden. Life can be filled with small joys. We must persist. One day society will evolve from the apparent tailspin. Pointing fingers is never the long-range answer, only persistence, understanding, determination.

• Reverie can be essential, even a temporary escape. Think of the journeys Rick McKay has shared with us. One does not have to be a travel buff to envision the adventures of the McKay trio. Nearly every year the trio has spent at least one week, often more, in adventure, which has included climbing Mt. Whitney in California, the highest peak in the contiguous 48 States, rafting down the Colorado River, less adventurous, however, really relevant parts of life, and days filled with contemplation and reflection.

• Herschel Luckinbill has been important to many military veterans for his leadership with the Fox Valley Veterans Breakfast Club, which in the last few years has climbed to more than 100 in attendance until COVID-19 hit us. He led the way to help bring memorial walls to the Fox Valley area. He was a chaperone 25 times for veterans’ visits on Honor Flight Chicago to Washington, D.C.. Now he will be on the flight as a valued veteran. Congratulations!

• Russ George, president of the Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora, writes a thank you note for providing space for the barbecue fundraiser. The Club sold and served 400 dinners in early October. The Club is dedicated to fighting and clearing up diabetes, a noble cause.

Clear and Concise, Week 42:

• Unable to resist: Stunned by the continual use of partnering when partner, as a noun is correct, and partnering is incorrect. Please care! Do not mimic because it was seen elsewhere. Understanding is the essential element. Clarity is important.

• Message inside a chocolate wrapper: After every storm is a rainbow, no matter how long it takes .

• Another message inside a wrapper: Smile, someone is thinking of you!
