The scene and sign tell a story of a special salute to Johnny Kee on his 100th birthday. Behind the sign is Sunnymere assisted living, where the former World War II veteran received salutes from members of several communities who drove in front of the building to offer salutes on his special occasion. He was sitting near the front door covered in a blanket, then he received a Quilt of Valor. Sponsors’ aim was to organize the parade of 100 cars. The weather cooperated with sunshine.
