We should know the sites of our election polling places. We can expand on the unusually and timely large election turnout in the November 3, 2020 presidential election. Ordinarily community elections do not have a similar draw as the presidential elections.
Cities, communities, towns, townships, and districts will hold elections Tuesday, April 6. It’s only our democracy, destiny, and development, or, the lack of them. Granted, it would be better if elections could be two days, Saturday and Sunday instead of Tuesday. On the other hand, if it is important to us, we will find ways to vote. Early voting in Kane, DuPage, Kendall, and Will Counties started earlier this month.
The Kane County Vote Mobile van has designated stops, to include the Prisco Community Center in Aurora March 25-26; Phillips Park Stover Center, March 29-30; and North Aurora Police Department, March 31. Ten locations in Kane County and seven Jewel Osco Stores will provide opportunities for voting. We should have learned of the importance of voting.
Information is important. We should know the world close to us. Notes and information include:

• Next week’s issue of The Voice will carry the final leg of the journey to Santiago Spain by three lifelong travelers, Rick McKay, Joe Masonick, and Jack Karolewski. See page 1 for this week’s installment. There is information on feedback to the series author, Rick McKay of Naperville. The three men are retired teachers who have been travel companions for more than 50 years. Curiosity, adventure, introspection, and societal examination, all have played parts in their continuing quests each year. The two series adventures in The Voice have been out of the U.S., in Spain, and across parts of Asia, the latter for 11 weeks, Pressed for time they have seen sites in United States. One such visit in the U.S. was to the small town of Greensburg, Kan. following a devastating EF-5 tornado. They saw how a small town was reinvented with new, modern, and up to date ways of functioning, and, not unlike part of its name, a theme of being Green. It was rebuilt without carbon emissions. For those who have read some of the latest accounts in The Voice, the suggestion here is to see page one for feedback.
Clear and Concise, Week 12 Year 2:
Because we ran longer in this section last week than usual, and by initial design, this week we offer quick takes. Suggested corrections here include:
• Use of the word between means two parties or two agencies, not multiple. If it is more than two individuals, the word among is appropriate;
• Normality is correct and the growing incorrect normalcy is frustrating and incorrect;
• Located is incorrect and caused by the modification of the word location; we can use the word found;
• Increasingly we hear an identification of plural individuals is use of, the ones. We can do better.
• The plural of person still is persons, not people.
