The United Methodist Church of Plano is collecting items for college care packages for Church family members who are away at college.
Items can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Church, 219 N Hale Street, Plano. The packages are designed to give the message that their church family is thinking of them and to provide nourishment for the challenge of semester-end exams.
Items such as crackers, trail mix, candy, gum, snack foods, and healthy foods will be sent. These items will be mailed in mid-April to various schools where the kids are attending.
