Don Davids of Aurora reports Monday, June 21, how Aurora firefighters assisted at the recent Chemtool fire in Rockton. Davids, president of Wheeling-based Mutual Aid Box Alarm System-Illinois (MABAS) and a retired Aurora Fire Department (AFD) lieutenant, spoke at a recent Aurora Noon Lions Club’s luncheon meeting at Luigi’s Pizza in Aurora. According to Davids, the AFD was among 26 MABAS fire agencies to provide personnel and apparatus in Rockton. Aurora firefighters were among approximately 350 who assisted in Rockton, Davids said.
