The 20th Annual Aurora East Education Foundation (AEEF) benefit golf outing, a fundraiser for scholarships and education projects by teachers, will be held Thursday, July 15, at Phillips Park Golf Course, 1001 Hill Avenue in Aurora.
The public is invited. The schedule is: 11 a.m., registration; noon, box lunch; 12:30 p.m., shotgun/scramble start; 5 p.m., dinner; and 5:30 p.m., awards program.
Co-chair persons of the 19-member planning team are Rhonda Mont and Janet and Stephen Kenyon. Purpose of the event is to raise funds for mini-grants to support student scholarships and education-focused projects. The AEEF distributed $1,000 scholarships to 18 East High seniors the Spring and plans many mini-grants to teachers and staff members the Fall.
Included in the entry fee are 18 holes of golf with cart, gift package, box lunch, refreshments, social hour, dinner, and prizes. Fees are $140 for single golfers, $140 each for foursomes. Sponsorships are available for $250, $500, $750, $1,000, and $1,200. Dinner only is $35.
