Dear editor;
There is a movement in the Country that includes some Republicans, some Christians, and some veterans that concern me. The movement is not debatable because most of its ideology is based on untruths.
It reminds me of when I was a little girl and the neighborhood kids told me that the man on the porch was bad, scary, and to run. I believed it until one day at four years old I decided to climb the stairs to see for myself. I found an older man on a dark porch with a shawl around him. He was the nicest man, and I climbed the steps often, just to say hello.
As a Christian I am disappointed in the untruths and apocalyptic attitudes that are coming forth from some pulpits. The world outside the Church is not the enemy and no one is coming after you. Democrats, immigrants, alternative family living, MSNBC, critical race theory, are not bringing about the demise of the Nation. Donald Trump will not turn the Country into the utopia that you want. He is a just a man lost in his own delusions and carrying people with him.
Fox News “stars” are feeding you false, fear-based, character-defaming, alarmist, untrue opinion. It is no more than a gig for them. Claims of almost nonexistent voter fraud January 6 was wrong and based on fraud. Vaccines are important and not a government plot. Masks are healthy to wear and nothing else. The natural Earth is in crisis.
I have never seen so much delusion in the U.S.. I am open to anyone lost in these untruths’ climbing the porch of the Country to find that what you thought is not what is, and then we can move forward together in peace, love, and justice.
