Okay, So it’s Labor Day…so what?
What does it have to do with what I’ve got?
What happened all those many years ago
Does not seem something I should want to know.
Well, listen up! It has to do with you.
What you are capable of earning, too.
It helped to elevate the common man;
Slave labor wages a consistent ban.
Labor relations soon a known force;
Establishing today’s business course.
So Labor Day is how we came to be;
Essential in the means to being free!
