Naperville Last Fling means street changes

Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 1, the Jaycees’ Last Fling will require the closing of parking lots and streets at and near the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center and Park District Administration Building.

The parking lots for the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center (at 305 W. Jackson Avenue) and the Park District Administration Building (320 W. Jackson Avenue) was closed at 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 and will remain closed through Monday, Sept. 6.

Park District hours of operation surrounding the Labor Day Holiday and Last Fling event are as follows:

• Fort Hill Activity Center – Open Friday, Sept. 3 through Sunday, Sept. 5 with regular operating hours. Labor Day holiday hours are 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6.

• Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center – Closed Wednesday, Sept. 1-Monday, Sept. 6.

• Knoch Knolls Nature Center – Open with regular operating hours Friday and Saturday, September 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Sunday and Monday, Sept. 5 and 6.

• Riverwalk Café – Closed Saturday-Monday, September 4-6.

• Paddleboat Quarry – Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday-Monday, September 4-6.

• Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses – Open with regular operating hours.

• Sportsman’s Trapshooting Range – Open with regular operating hours on Thursday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 5.

• Centennial Beach will maintain the following end-of-season hours: Saturday, Sept. 4, 9 a.m. to 10:55 a.m., Adult Float; 11 a.m. to dusk, open swim; Sunday, Sept. 5, 9 a.m. to 10:55 a.m., Adult Float; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., open swim; Monday, Sept. 6, 9 a.m. to 10:55 a.m., member-only adult float; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., open swim.
