Residents of the 50th District, which includes portions of Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, Campton Hills, Elburn, Montgomery, Oswego, Plano, St. Charles, Sugar Grove. and Yorkville; and 70th District which includes portions of western Kane County including Big Rock, Kaneville, Lily Lake, Virgil, Campton Hills and Burlington are invited to a free, drive-through Prescription Drug Drop Off collection event with the Sugar Grove Police Department from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23 in the police department parking lot at 10 S. Municipal Drive in Sugar Grove.
The event will be presented by State representative Keith Wheeler and State representative Jeff Keicher, who serves the 70th District, .
Area residents are invited to drop off expired or unused medications to be properly disposed of. Accepted items that you may drop off include prescription medications, prescription ointments and patches, and pet medicines. Restricted items include needles, illegal drugs and liquids.
Guests can remain in their vehicle for this drive-through event. Follow the marked lanes into the parking lot and drop your items into a collection bin.
