The Dolan and Murphy fastpitch softball team finished with a 2-2 record over Memorial Day weekend in Walcott, Iowa.
Dolan defeated Walcott, 5-1, behind pitcher Jose DeLeon, who struck out 14 and gave up four hits. Mick Baker led the offense and was three for three with one run batted in.
In the next game, Dolan lost its first game of the season, to Davenport, Iowa, 10-1. Dolan’s overall record is 7-2. Jared Hauraki was the losing pitcher. Perkins drove in the lone run.
Next, Dolan defeated Bowen, Ill., 7-5. DeLeon was the winning pitcher. Mike Drew and Perkins each drove in two runs. Perkins hit a home run.
Dolan lost the last game of the weekend, 5-0, to Springfield, Mo. and veteran pitcher Terry Luster. Jared Hauraki was the losing pitcher for Dolan.
