Poem: To Think Or Not To Think

Yesterday was just another day,
And that’s the way I saw it, in a way.
Its hours simply went by without pause,
And seemingly without a direct cause.
With that, you know what I got out of it;
To put it bluntly–not even a little bit.
I figure every day comes at a cost;
So it’s not good when one or more are lost.
Of course, at my age, all I do is think;
So not to do that is a cause to blink!
You cannot double-up on thinking, so…
That well can limit what you come to know.
But danger lies in how it affects you;
For thinking is hard work, which you may rue.
So you may live not thinking much at all;
You’ll also find that many heed that call!
