Following an influx of new funding for rejuvenating businesses in districts across Illinois, State representative Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, called attention to $1.7 million dollars in grant opportunities for local businesses in her community.
“Businesses have struggled thoughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and many continue to do so,” said Hernandez. “I look at the businesses in my district that have received awards and I see small restaurants, family-owned businesses and businesses that have not received any help at all. Thank you, governor (JB) Pritzker, for helping those that need it most.”
Back to Business grants are designed to support businesses hit hard by the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. $1.7 million in funding is designated to 28 local businesses in Hernandez’s district which have demonstrated a need for assistance.
