Dear editor;
It seems that everyone who is anyone is peddling a book these days, including some of the more regular contributors to this publication. When I happened upon several dusty unbound copies of my PhD thesis during a recent pandemic-induced decluttering effort, the thought occurred to me that perhaps I, too, should offer to the public a glimpse into my endeavors of the past. But…I quickly decided that with the title “Entropy Contributions to Remote Secondary Kinetic Hydrogen Isotope Effects”, sales would be rather limited, even if it were offered for free!
So instead, I’ve decided to encourage readers to partake of a book which was not authored by me, and whose contents are even more impactful today than they were when it was first published in October 2017. The book is entitled “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump” and was compiled by Brandy Lee. Inside, the reader will find the assessments by 27 psychiatrists and mental health experts as to the nature of the man and the relationship of that nature to his presidency. With the current ramblings from him and the rumblings from his supporters, it suggests a renewed urgency for these insights. With the country having survived one four-year term with this man as president, one can only hope that as the GOP moves forward in determining its candidate for the 2024 presidential election, and will not risk the danger of another four years under his influence.
Most currently, it is difficult to comprehend how any true patriot of these United States, especially a past president, could sit back and admire the recent actions of a ruthless despot such as Vladimir Putin, labeling him a genius, as Putin attempts to destroy the will of the Ukrainian people. However, the insights provided in this book render Trump’s behavior and rhetoric not so surprising at all. Read it, and decide for yourself.
