Aurora area retired teachers will be host to a White Sox game fundraiser as a benefit for the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry in Aurora.

Dick Schindel, president of Aurora Area Retired Teachers Association, made the announcement earlier this week. He said AARTA invites the public to “Strike Out Hunger,” a family-style bus trip to the Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles game at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Schindel said the trip bus will depart East Aurora High School’s door 15 at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 26. At the park, a potluck tailgate party is planned. Bring a dish to pass to participate. Bottled water and soda will be provided.

Tickets are $70. Deadline to sign up is June 3. To purchase tickets, checks payable to AARTA should be sent to Schindel at 784 Morningside Drive in Aurora, IL, 60505. Call 630-921-1307 for more information.
