A packed edition with items of importance is not uncommon in The Voice. We reflect our communities which do important things and maintain vital interests of value to the socioeconomics in northern Illinois, which reflect diversity, energy, commitment.
We take value in a collage of notes in this space when it is necessary, and we offer thoughts, notes, and opinions.
Because we include government and finances, with an effort to provide good news, we use the following important note in DuPage County that was in contention for space with the Phillips Park in Aurora.
• DuPage County Board voted Tuesday this week to provide $2.8 million to the DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau (DVCB) to provide support to County hotels which have been negatively impacted by the COVID-`19 pandemic. The County Board will provide $2.0 million for a hotel relief program, $750,000 for a joint business attraction and marketing program through DCVB and Choose DuPage, and $50,000 for a seven-county regional tourism program. All funds are provided through the Federal American Relief Plan Act. DuPage County is vital.

• The Fox Valley Orchestra and the Fox Valley Brass Band are busy during the Summer and have performed several times thus far in Batavia and Aurora. Music is a treasured part of our souls. In addition, laughter truly is the best medicine.
