Columnist and author Anthony Stanford contributes to a film honoring the extraordinary life and talent of musical genius, Billy Preston. Two-time Emmy winner and six-time nominee, Paris Barclay directs the film that masterfully examines the life and times of Preston, sometimes called the fifth Beatle, because Preston is the only non-member ever given credit on a Beatles recording.
Barclay’s other works include television episodes of NYPD Blue, Glee, Scandal, House, and Station 19. The Preston film’s release date is pending.
Stanford is the author of the book, Homophobia in the Black Church: How Faith, Politics, and Fear, Divide the Black Community.
