There will be a dedicated group of warriors/survivors to support Breast Cancer Month with a Dance Benefit for Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22.
The event will take place at Pine Ridge Recreation Center, 401 Pine Ridge Drive North, in Oswego.
The dance will include a one man band, food, drinks, baskets for raffle, and a fun time to support Waterford Place.
This event is sponsored by Kari Rankins, a breast cancer survivor who has passion for the services at Waterford.
She is proud to work with Waterford Place to support this cause and aims to help raise awareness of breast cancer.
She strongly believes that early detection is key to becoming a cancer survivor and this type of event will raise funds that support Waterford’s services for those who are affected by this disease.
All proceeds will go to Waterford Place to continue support in our community.
“They (Waterford) serve to compassionately connect and offer you and your loved ones support before, during, and after a cancer diagnosis, she said.
“They provide a variety of services and support with education, support groups, care for your mind, body, spirit, wellness, salon, spa and counseling.”
