Dear editor;
I’ve been living in the Lakewood Springs Club Community for a few months now. There are way too many rules that are a bit on the petty side of things. We moved into this Club to enjoy our lives and break away from the craziness of the world.
What am I talking about? The rules of no six-foot privacy fence. The homeowners association (H.O.A.) wants you to have a four-foot fence with no privacy and waste your money. No lights on your house that might show some color for each holiday. They don’t want chairs in your front yard so you could relax. They don’t want your utility shed to be a different color than your home, and it can’t have paint, or be made with anything other than cedar wood.
Maybe we should all protest and stop paying our fees. Maybe we need new representation in our Club. We need those who are trying to help us live better, and enjoy our lives with family, and friends in our new homes. Why don’t they worry about keeping the homeowners happy with their new homes? They should concentrate their efforts on the clubhouse, the tennis courts, the swimming pool, the Lakewood Springs street-lighting. Why are you interfering with the lives of our Club? We need change soon. We need positive issues moving forward. We want the H.O.A.. to send out a meeting date to all the Club members, and work with us. If not, I will send one out to all members, asking for a change to the Board members, and its ridiculous rules for hard -working taxpayers. We aren’t children!! Last I checked they don’t pay our mortgages!!
Please speak up!! Demand contact numbers for the absent representation of our L.S.C Board members. Quarterly meetings aren’t enough. A revised H.O.A. contract is needed badly. Get involved!! You can make a difference. Everyone needs to come together and find a solution. If its negotiable with Board members, there’s progress ahead. All these petty citations are ridiculous and need to go away. If there’s no negotiations, we must continue to look for new Board members with a proxy vote.
