The Aurora Sunrise Rotary Club was chartered 30 years ago in a combined ceremony with the Rotary Club of Aurora (Noon) that was celebrating the anniversary of 70 years since of charter. July 1, the start of all Rotary Clubs’ fiscal years, the Noon Rotary Club joined with the Sunrise Rotary Club. The new Club will the known as The Rotary Club of Aurora United.
Clark said, “It is rather bitter-sweet. I hate to see the charter of the Club that has been a part of my life for 30 years come to an end, but the Noon Club has very good Rotarians who will join us. I am looking forward to some good and productive years in providing services to Aurora, our hometown.”
The Rotary Club of Aurora United will continue to meet at Mother’s Restaurant on Wednesday mornings at 7 a.m.. Visitors are welcome.
