The Friends of the Yorkville Public Library will hold its 14th Annual Used Book Sale during Hometown Days in Yorkville, September 2-3 at the Library. All adult books will be $1, and children’s paperbacks and board books will be $.50, all of which are great bargains.
Thousands of books will be available sorted in a variety of subjects in both hardcover and paperback format. In addition, the are many CDs, DVDs, audio books, as well as jigsaw puzzles. The donated books are just like new, or, gently used.
The books will be spaced out in several areas of the Library, and there will be cashiers in different places, as well. Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted.
The book sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3 in the Michelle Pfister Meeting Room of the Yorkville Public Library, 902 Game Farm Road.
Money raised from the book sale is used to pay for the Yorkville Library’s programs and services. The Friends of the Library is a volunteer group whose purpose is to support our Library. Membership fees are annual: $12 for an individual, and $20 for a family. Membership information is available at the Library or on the Library’s website: www.yorkville.lib.il.us.
