Aurora residents and visitors have a new gift this holiday season, just in time for Thanksgiving weekend.
A crowd gathered to celebrate downtown’s new combined restaurant and piano bar with a ribbon cutting, tour, and tasting.
Amore Mio, at 33 W. New York Street, in the heart of Aurora’s downtown, doubles as an Italian restaurant on the first level and a piano bar on the lower level.
Paying homage to the Italian American restaurants of mid-20th Century New York City, Amore Mio has classic charm and an exquisite menu with traditional options, including a variety of antipasti, several choices of pasta, and full large plate courses.
After a meal in the restaurant, a quick trip to the lower level takes guests to Little Piano, an elegantly lit lounge with an additional bar and piano stage with live music every night, Thursday through Sunday.
Owned by husband and wife restaurateurs Chef Roberto Avila, who trained in culinary arts in Italy, and manager and interior designer Erika Villanueva, Amore Mio is the fourth addition to their restaurant portfolio that includes Altiro Latin Fusion Aurora (in downtown Aurora), Altiro Latin Fusion Wheaton, and Altiro Latin Fusion Geneva.
