Members and friends from the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley, volunteered on the evening of Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the “Feed My Starving Children” local facility, 555 Exchange Court, in Aurora, from 6:45 p.m. until 8:45 p.m..
Members from DCFV, along with more than 50 additional volunteers, hand-packed 142 boxes, in less than two hours, containing 30,672 meals, which will feed 84 children for one year.
The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley experienced some issues with our website on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28, which caused problems in our ability to accept donations, at different times throughout the day. DCFV members thank everyone who made or attempted to make a donation on Giving Tuesday, to aid in our Club’s fight against diabetes.
Want to help us fight diabetes? We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, providing aid and education for diabetics, bringing about an awareness of the dangers of uncontrolled blood sugar, along with investing in research to find a cure.
