Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois recently received a generous $9,000 grant from Girl Scouts of the USA. Funds from this grant will be used to support international travel for local Girl Scouts, including supporting up to 12 youth and/or adult participants as they travel to Adelboden, Switzerland, to visit Our Chalet—one of five World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) World Centers—in 2024.
Through international travel, Girl Scouts can become informed and productive global citizens, forge friendships with Girl Guides from WAGGGS member countries, and acquire an appreciation for the richness and diversity of people and cultures from around the world!
