Diabetes Club golf outing three weeks away

Adam Broholm, golf chairperson, for the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley’s second annual “Tee Off to Defeat Diabetes” Golf Outing, announced “Get a hole in one…Win a new 2024 Buick”.

The golf outing is only three weeks away, Friday, June 21, at Bliss Creek Golf Course, 1 Golf View Road in Sugar Grove, in a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Be the first golfer to score a hole in one, on hole 16.. You’ll drive home a new 2024 Buick, compliments of Ray Buick, 5011 W. 63rd Street, in Chicago.

A shout out of thanks to Ray Buick, from the members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley, for their offer to donate a new Buick, to the first golfer who makes a hole in one, on hole 16, during the “Tee Off to Defeat Diabetes” Golf Outing, June 21, at Bliss Creek Golf Course, in Sugar Grove.

Matt McCain, golf committee co-chairperson, stated “Fifty-eight golfers have already registered. Only $130 per golfer, includes a hot dog lunch, golf, cart, goody bag and steak dinner! Put your name or business on our Friends of DCFV Sponsorship Banner for $100 or become a hole sponsor: Bronze $200, Silver $300, or Gold $400. Hole sponsors will be listed in our annual program, and on the Friends of DCFV Banner, which will be carried in Aurora’s Fourth of July Parade.”

Fundraising Chairperson, Jenny McCain, has received items/baskets for raffle from the following: Chicago White Sox, Fox Valley Park District, Funway, Kane County Cougars, Portillo’s in Batavia, Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurants, Paramount Theater, Syrup, Rosati’s Pizza in Montgomery, Batavia Creamery, Two Brothers Roundhouse, Paisano’s Pizza & Grill in Sugar Grove, Suzy’s Bar & Grill in Yorkville, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Pinz Entertainment Center in Yorkville, and Ach-N-Lou’s Pizza Pub. •Not a golfer….Why not attend the Golf Dinner? Steak dinner, door prizes, basket raffles, and 50/50 cash drawing! Dinner follows golf approximately at 5 p.m.. Tickets, $40 per person.

The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley is offering membership in the Club through September 30, for $25, giving individuals interested in joining our fight against diabetes an opportunity to look us over, while participating in club activities throughout the Summer months.
