Poem: Free Will And You

Decision-making-making, when there is both pro and con,
Will have a succinct factor there to dwell upon.
There’s much more to that normal process than you think;
But when it is explained, it will with logic link.
You think you know the devil and his tempting choice,
But, since you think you know God’s will, He’ll have no voice.
But that is where you’re wrong—as wrong as wrong can be.
So, here and now, we will attempt to make you see.
The devil does not have a carte blanche right to lure,
So his attempts must be enticing, that’s for sure
But what you don’t know is that God is also there;
Each side is given equal time, so to be fair.
This brings the whole thing back to you, your own Free Will.
You get to choose—it’s your decision you must fill.
So God and Satan both give you their given spiel;
But every time it all comes down to how you feel.
“The devil made me do it” is no alibi;
All the above is an attempt to show you why.
Your Free Will carries with it more than you surmise;
You should pay more attention to it, if you’re wise!
