An Active Senior Expo drew hundreds to Courtyard Banquets in Warrenville, Wednesday, Sept. 18.
The annual free event was sponsored by Lombard-based Silver Silver Star Expositions. Held from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Expo showcased hundreds of products and services for seniors offered by 35 exhibitors. Additionally, seminars on Medicare, finances and more were offered along with health screenings, giveaways, and entertainment.
A highlight was an indoor farmers market by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Attendees were invited to fill bags with free fruits and vegetables. Offered were tomatoes, potatoes, beets, apples, celery, onions, carrots, zucchini, yellow squash, prune plums and green peppers.
