Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry Gala Oct. 6
Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry will hold its annual fundraising gala Saturday, Oct. 6 at Pipers Banquets on Butterfield Road in Aurora. This year’s event, OctoberFeast, will feature beer, wine, and whiskey tastings, a full open bar, a delicious German-themed dinner, and live and silent auctions. Tickets are $100 per person and all proceeds will help benefit Aurora Food Pantry.
This annual fundraiser is crucial to ensure that the 20,000 individuals who visit Aurora Food Pantry each year, including more than 9,000 children, continue to have access to fresh, healthy food. Every $1 raised at OctoberFeast will provide $7 worth of food to needy families in the Aurora area community.
Although the event is German-themed, the tastings will have a community flair, with Aurora-based Hopvine Brewing Company, Aspen Lane Wine Company, and Whiskey Acres to provide beer, wine, and whiskey tastings. Dress for the event is business casual, and guests are encouraged to wear their best lederhosen.
A highlight of the evening will be the silent and live auctions, which will include vacations, sports tickets, and one-of-a-kind experiences.
