Departed members and friends of Wesley United Methodist Church in Aurora were remembered Sunday, Nov. 2.

The church celebrated annual All Saints’ Day by lighting candles, sharing in communion and sharing photos or other memorabilia on a display board.

A bell chimed as Reverend Tammy Scott, pastor, read the names of eight congregants who died in the past year. They were Patricia Benson, David Bergman, Martha Griffith, John McKenzie, Jane Matteson, Nedra Price, Carole Ruby, and Nancy Verbic. Relatives and friends were invited to light a candle on a special candle holder to honor the departed.

After the eight were honored, congregants were invited to come forward and light a candle for others who have been saints in their lives.

Sharing communion of All Saints concluded the service.
