•Winter Read BINGO Challenge

Pick up your BINGO card after December 26. Check out and read your books from the library to complete a BINGO. Each BINGO (max 5) you will be entered into a raffle drawing for a $25 gift card. Please return your BINGO card before February 28, 2025 to be entered. The raffle drawing will be March 3, 2025.

•Escape Room Adventure

This Escape Adventure will be available in the month of January. Use the clues to unlock the boxes before the next group comes in, you only have 30 minutes. Contact the Youth Service Department for an appointment time at 630-553-4354 ext 108 or stop in.

•3D Printing (virtual)

Leah English will provide a step-by-step tutorial on how to use Tinkercad. Tinkercad is an easy-to-use 3D CAD design tool, where you can create an object that we can print on our 3D printer. Check out the library’s YouTube channel, follow the steps to create your own 3D printed piece. 3D Prints are $.20/gram

•Drop In Story Time (at YPL), Every Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Join us at YPL every Friday at 10:30 a.m. for Drop In Story Time. This story time is held in the children’s area of the library. A volunteer from The Friends of the Library is our special reader.

•Magic the Gathering, Wednesdays, 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m..

Magic the Gathering is a tabletop card game with more than 50 million players worldwide. One of the most popular games on the planet, you can now gather at the Yorkville Public Library to play Commander format games of Magic the Gathering with like-minded friends and gamers. Local gaming enthusiast, Marcus Sanford will be leading the group. This group is open to experienced players or those brand-new to the game. Bring your own deck to participate in the games. The program is open to adults and high school students ages 14+

•Window Art, January 6-11 (you choose the day and time that is convenient)

Help us liven up the library with window art. You can come in anytime/any day (January 6-11) to create your artwork. Please register for the event on the website. Space is limited.

•Mommy and Me Yoga, Tuesday, January 7 and 21, 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m..

Bond with your little one while exploring yoga, based on your favorite children’s books. This class includes simple breathing work, playful yoga poses, songs, games, and story time. Participants will use their imagination while increasing strength, flexibility, and balance. Registration required.

•Preschool Zone, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m..

Join us for interactive and engaging books plus activities for you and your child. Registration is required.

•LEGO Meet Up, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Join us to make amazing LEGO creations and hang out with others. LEGOs will be provided, you bring the creativity!
