The Batavia Lions Club will hold their most colorful fundraiser of the year Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10. This year marks the 43rd annual plant day for the service organization.
Locally grown hanging baskets will be available for $30 each and would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. All proceeds support the club’s philanthropy projects for Batavia residents.
Friday, May 9, baskets will be available to purchase from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the corner of Wilson Street and Water Street in Batavia. Saturday, May 10, baskets will be offered at four locations beginning at 9 a.m. Sales will continue until 2 p.m. or sooner if supplies run out. Saturday locations (all in Batavia) are: Corner of Wilson Street and Water Street; corner of Wilson Street and Prairie Street; 750 Main Street at Mallory Street; roaming wagon in 14th Colony / Cherry Park
