The Village of Montgomery Beautification Committee proudly announced the winners of its 2025 Arbor Day Poster Contest during the Village Board Meeting held May 12 at the Village Hall.
Each year, the contest invites local students to celebrate the importance of trees through art. This year’s theme was, “Trees Plant a Cooler Future.” This year’s entries showcased creativity, environmental awareness, and appreciation for nature.
The Village is pleased to recognize the following winners:
First place: Trees are Our Future Forever, Our Oxygen and Life. Amanda L., 4th Grader, Lakewood Creek Elementary
Second place: In the Future. Eva B., 4th Grader, Lakewood Creek Elementary
Third place: Where Are the Trees? Emeline C., 3rd Grader, Lakewood Creek Elementary
The winners, honored during the board meeting, received certificates of recognition along with special prizes for their artistic contributions. Each winner received a Village of Montgomery goodie bag which included fun items and a gift card to Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Montgomery.
