Yorkville Public Library Youth events in June varied

The Yorkville Public Library Youth Service Department will have many events in June. All events will take place at the Library, 902 Game Farm Road, unless otherwise noted. For more information, or to register, call 630-553-4354 or visit www.yorkville.lib.il.us.

•Only One You, Monday, June 16, 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m..

We will read the book, “Only One You” by Linda Kranz. Then paint rocks to resemble the fish in the book. The fish will be displayed in the Children’s Courtyard for all to see. Please register on the YPL website calendar.

•Disney Family Trivia, Wednesday, June 18, 6 p.m..

Form a team full of family or friends and compete against your neighbors to answer questions about Disney movies, TV shows, music, and theme parks. If your team knows the most Disney trivia, you might just win some fun prizes!

When registering – please register one member of your team, then, in the “special notes” section put the number of players that will be in your team. (It’s okay if that number changes, this at least gives us an idea of how many teams/people to expect).

•Snow the K9 Story Time (Kendall County Sheriff Department), Thursday, June 19, 10:30 a.m..

We are having a very special Story Time. K9 Snow from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office will join us for Story Time. You will find out about K9 Snow and his past, after enjoying wonderful books.

K9 Snow is a comfort dog for the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, designed to provide support and interaction within the community. He is a Shepherd/Husky mix. K9 Snow came from the Tails of Redemption program, which focuses on providing second chances to shelter dogs and individuals in custody.

•Jumpstart Children Screenings, Friday, June 20, 10:30 a.m..

Jumpstart is a free service for pregnant woman and those with children 0-3 years of age. Jumpstart offers many different services. Stop by for a free screening.

•Artful Beginnings (preschool), Monday, June 23, 10:30 a.m..

We will read a book then create a fun craft project. Please register. Dress for the mess. If you have multiple children, please register each child separately. Thank you.
