Chas to reshape national security; Trump’s b-day

“National Security,” part two:

According to the Coddington Agenda, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security was modeled after the Soviet Union’s KGB and Nazi Germany’s Gestapo. That is to say that what worked for other spy operations ought to work for America’s. And so it has, month in and month out since its creation. In fact, it has worked too well for a country which professes to be the “beacon of democracy” to all the world.

Therefore, in order to right a wrong which never should have been, the DHS should be abolished entirely and swiftly and its several components re-assigned to other departments. To wit:

  1. The Border Patrol to the Department of the Interior;
  2. The Coast Guard to the U.S. Navy;
  3. The Federal Emergency Management Agency to the Department of Health and Human Services;
  4. The Transportation Security Agency to the Department of Transportation (!);
  5. The Secret Service – to be re-named the “Federal Protective Service” – to the Department of State;
  6. The Citizenship and Immigration Service to the Department of State;
  7. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) to the dustbin of history (and good riddance!);
  8. The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office to the Department of Energy; and
  9. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center to the U.S. Marshal Service.

Additionally, the Central Intelligence Agency should be re-named the “Information Analysis Center” and rely upon diplomatic missions and national and international publications as sources of information rather than black ops. And the National Security Agency needs to follow the footsteps of ICE.

We’d save a lot of grief, both at home and abroad, not to mention a lot of wasted money, as we return our country back to its original foreign policy of neutrality.

•And speaking of a waste of money, dear reader, did you celebrate The Donald’s birthday parade?

Yes? Well, shame on you for not watching your favorite baseball team in action.

No? Well, shame on you for not acknowledging all of the things that our Dear President has done to – um, sorry, for us. He has helped us immensely to understand what democracy, free speech, the rule of law, and the right to vote is all about. He has provided these truths in the reams of executive orders he has published, and his efforts should not have gone unnoticed. Yesiree, Bob!

If the President’s birthday didn’t move you, then how about the massive parade to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. (June 14 is also Flag Day,) Do not be put off by the fact that the parade – modeled after those of the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of North Korea –will cost the taxpayers $45 million, mostly to repair the damage done to the streets of Washington D.C. by those heavy-duty tanks and other assorted military equipment. It’s all for the glory of USA/MAGA, don’t you know?

•And speaking of “glory,” we come to the dismal events taking place in Los Angeles, Calif., instigated by Trump’s war on immigration at the hands of his favorite enforcers, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), a.k.a. the U.S. Gestapo. ICE is rounding up everyone they can find who has a Spanish name in order to deport the “illegals.” Some of those people may have the proper documentation, but ICE doesn’t care about such niceties. If you habla espanol, you’re fair game.

Reaction by well-meaning Angelenos was swift in coming. They faced off against the ICE with massive protests. The government of King Donald reacted equally swiftly; he federalized the entire California National Guard without consulting the governor of California or the mayor of Los Angeles. For good measure, he sent in a battalion of U.S. Marines (which may or may not have been lawful). No matter – His Imperial Majesty has been acting illegally ever since his inauguration.

The fact of the matter is that Trump wants an excuse to declare martial law – not only in Los Angeles, but also in other cities which may host crowds of protestors. The readership of The Voice may recall that he infamously stated during the 2024 campaign that, if he was re-elected, there would be no more elections. If that doesn’t sound like a nation-wide act wherein the U.S. Constitution is set aside, the U.S. Congress dismissed, and the U.S. Supreme Court ignored, The Chas doesn’t know what is.

What The Chas does know, however, is that the Grand Experiment in polity in these United States will join other such experiments in history, unless we act soonest.

Just a thought.
