NASCAR Cup Series, Brickyard 400, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Speedway, Ind., Sunday, July 27.
Bubba Wallace held off Kyle Larson to win the Brickyard 400. Following in third place was Denny Hamlin, fourth Ryan Preese, and fifth Brad Keselowski.
Chase Bristol started on pole.
Ross Chastain hit the wall on lap 19.
Austin Cendric took the lead after pit action, but Chase Briscoe came back to win Stage 1 ahead of Bubba Wallace.
Ryan Preese took the lead for Stage 2. Austin Cendric lost a tire after leading a few laps later.
Then later Eric Jones’ car lost a front right wheel after contact with the wall.
The Stage 2 was won by Ryan Blaney over Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin.
There was a rain delay during the Stage 3. A green white checker flag was set up after a crash between Ryan Reddick and Zane Smith.
Second overtime finish was won by Bubba Wallace.
The mid season challenge was decided during this race, between Ty Gibbs and Ty Dillon. Gibbs won the $1 million prize.
NASCAR Cup Series, EchoPark Automotive 400, Dover Motor Speedway, Dover, Del., Sunday, July 20.
The now called Denny “Ol’ Man” Hamlin (over 40 years old), won this Race. Following in second place was Briscoe. Alex Bowman in third, Kyle Larson in fourth, and Gibbs in fifth.
Pole was set by Chase Elliott and in the Stage 1 he looked like he was going to win this taking the first stage.
The Stage 2 Chris Bell beat Elliott to the checker flag.
In Stage 3 Hamlin was leading with 40 laps to go.
With 18 laps to go the Ross Chastain hit the wall and during the caution it started to rain.
After a one-hour rain delay during the restart lap, Bell lost control and collided into Alex Bowman and Noah Gragson.
After the restart the race went into overtime and Zane Smith spun, which took the race into a second overtime.
Hamlin won the race.
NASCAR Cup Series, Save Mart 350, Sonoma Raceway, Sonoma Calif., Sunday, July 13.
In first place was the ringer from New Zealand, Shane Van Gisbergen, who also started on the pole. Following in second place was Briscoe, Elliott in third, Michael McDonald in fourth, and Bell in fifth.
Gisbergen won Stage 1 and went on to win Stage 2 ahead of Larson, William Byron, and Briscoe.
In final stage, Hamlin and Wallace collided and spun off the track. Following, Ryan Blaney spun off the track due to contact from Chris Buescher.
After final pit stops, with 25 laps to go, Larson was in the lead ahead of Gisbergen by three seconds.
Then with 14 laps to go, the wheel came off of Cody Ware’s vehicle. Many cars went into the pits for fresh tires, but Gisbergen stayed out on the track.
With eight laps to go, Gragston and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. spun out and a caution was issued. At the re Gisbergan was in the lead and took the win ahead of Briscoe.
NASCAR Cup Series, Grant Park 165, Chicago, Ill. street race, Sunday, July 6.
The pole winner, and eventual race winner, was Shane Van Gisbergen. Following in second place was Gibbs, Reddick in third, Hamlin in fourth, and Kyle Busch in fifth.
During Stage 1 Kyle Larson and Carson Hocevar spun out, and took out at least another three cars, which caused a red flag to be issued for clean up.
McDowell won Stage 1.
Wallace spun out on lap six of stage 2. Then McDowell’s car had throttle problems and had to take it to garage.
Kyle Busch spun out and Gisbergen took the lead. But Ryan Blaney got ahead to win for Stage 2.
A.J. Allmendinger, a fan favorite, had a very long pit stop which allowed Briscoe to take lead over Reddick for first half of the final stage.
Gisbergen now in third place position was able to get to the lead position with just six laps to go.
Then Austin Cindric’s car died onthe track to bring out the fifth caution.
With the restart got Gisbergen was in first stayed there for his second victory in Chicago.

NASCAR Cup Series, Quaker State 400, EchoPark Speedway, Hampton, Ga.. Sunday, June 28.
Elliott, winner of this race, was long overdue for a victory. Following in second place was Keselowski, Bowman in third, Reddick in fourth, and Eric Jones in fifth.
Joe Logano won the pole position.
After a rain delay Austin Cindric won Stage 1 after a multi-car pile up with three laps to go in the stage.
Alex Bowman led most of Stage 2, but it won by Reddick ahead of Elliott. Wallace spun into inside wall with 75 laps to go with Brad Keselowski leading.
With 34 to go Justin Haley lost a tire and spun into inside wall.
Elliott won race, with second going to Keselowski.
