A field full of American flags will once again cover Naperville’s Rotary Hill in a stirring and colorful display this coming November.
Under the watchful gaze of the Millenium Carillon, the Naperville “Healing Field Of Honor” will open to the public Friday, Nov. 7 and be open daily through Wednesday, Nov. 12, with a Veterans’ Day observance ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The true purpose and meaning of the Naperville Healing Field Of Honor is tribute and education: expressing gratitude to our U.S. military service members past, present, and future, and highlighting an important time in our nation’s history. The significance of this year’s Field is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the return of U.S. troops from South Vietnam in 1975.
