Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley held their September “Meet and Greet”, organized by media chairperson, Ann McBride, to expose the Club and it’s mission, Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Legacy Nutrition & Fitness, 77 S. River Street, in downtown Aurora.
Rick Sanchez, owner of Legacy Nutrition & Fitness, hosted this month’s “Meet and Greet”, providing those attending with samples of healthy treats and beverages.

Legacy Nutrition & Fitness offers a menu focused on healthy, protein-packed smoothies, shakes, bowls, donuts, and tea bombs, along with a variety of fitness classes.
Legacy Nutrition & Fitness will host “November is National Diabetes Month — Health Fair”, Saturday, Nov. 8, at Society 57, 100 S. River Street, in downtown Aurora. Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley will be participating in Legacy’s Health Fair!
November will be National Diabetes Awareness Month! Plan on attending the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley’s second annual gala dinner, “A Night To End Diabetes”, Friday, Nov. 14, (World Diabetes Day), at the Lincoln Inn, 1345 South Batavia Avenue, in Batavia.

The Diabetes Club of Fox Valley meets monthly, January thru November on the second Wednesday, at Oak Street Restaurant, 945 Oak Street, in North Aurora.

Meetings are held in the East Banquet Room. Dinner is optional on members’ own from the menu at 5:30 p.m. and meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.. Guests are always welcome!
Members of the Diabetes Club of Fox Valley work together to provide diabetes awareness in the Fox Valley area, while raising funds to provide aid and education for diabetics, along with investing in research to find a cure.
Uncontrolled blood sugar (glucose) can cause vision problems, heart problems, nerve damage, dental problems, kidney damage and more. Eat healthy, stay active and have a yearly blood test, to stay diabetes free!
Why not consider joining our fight against diabetes? You don’t need to be a diabetic, to be a member of our club! Why not invite a family member, friend or business associate to attend one of our meetings or events with you! Guests are always welcome! Yearly individual membership dues are $50 per year.
