What began as a simple conversation between two neighbors has grown into one of Montgomery’s most beloved Halloween traditions. Now in its sixth year, the haunted house experience created by Ed Perry, Chris Rowald, and Dennis Tarnowski, three longtime residents and friends, continues to captivate and terrify in equal measure at 2113 and 2115 Emma Ave., Montgomery October 30-31 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m..

Last year, more than 700 brave souls ventured through the combined haunted houses, connected by a mysterious tunnel that has become the stuff of local legend. But this isn’t just about scares, it’s about heart.

“We wanted to build something meaningful and memorable for the kids in our neighborhood,” said Ed Perry. “Something they’d talk about for years, and maybe even recreate with their own families someday.”
Admission is free, but donations will be welcome to support next year’s haunt or the Oswego High School Band. Additionally, they are accepting donations for gently used or new winter gear for the Hessed House.
