I read, with some interest, Wayne Johnson’s account of our meeting at the Yellow Bird Bookstore where he and others presented readings in honor of our veterans on Veterans Day. And as Wayne suggested in his November 13 article, we probably do have things in common in terms of wanting this country to be successful for our families and people. What that success might look like for Wayne, and how it might be achieved, is most likely light years apart from our founders’ ideas or mine.

Wayne’s visions for America are juxtaposed to the majority of the American people who want to continue living in a Republic and a free enterprise economic system. If you asked Wayne his political leanings, and if he answered honestly, he would say he is a socialist. If you asked Coddington or John W. Whitehead this same question, and if they answered honestly, they would have to say they were communists. Both would lie however. Coddington would say he was a “Democratic Socialist.” Read Coddington’s article in the November 6 edition of “The Voice” for details how he would end free enterprise, confiscate and nationalize private property, along with ending your civil liberties for owning your own business or land.

Barack Obama, at this moment in history, is closer to what the American people believe than he is to what the “leadership” of the “Democratic Party,” Zohran Mamdani, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), and Bernie Sanders want for you. Neither Wayne Johnson, nor the communist version of the Democratic Party have the mind set of the American people in terms of our civil liberties or our free enterprise economic system. Neither Coddington nor Whitehead, who are contributors to this publication, are in the same ball park as the American people. Both of these Communists want the best economic system in the world to end and our country relocated left of where Mao Tse Tung took China in the 1960s. And they want to do this without your input.

I read on with more interest “Wayne’s World Johnson’s” characterization of eight Democrats “caving in to the Republican commands, voting to end the shutdown.” Wayne continued in his typical style of demonizing Republicans for what a Democratic Senate and Obama himself brought us in what was termed the “Affordable Care Act” aka Obama Care.

Republicans had no demands for opening government as Johnson suggests. Fifty-two Republicans voted (15 times) to open the government. Only three Democrats voted to open government during those 15 votes. Forty Democrats had been voting to keep the government shut down. So who was voting to shut the government down Wayne?

But let’s get back to the “Affordable Care Act” aka “Obama Care.” First…it was never affordable! When a Democratic Senate, with no Republican votes, approved this bill in 2010, Obama himself told us, “If you like your doctor…you can keep your doctor.” “If you like your health care…you can keep your health care.” Obama lied!

Both statements were false. Worse yet, the “Affordable Care Act” was unaffordable! Private health care insurance premiums doubled and tripled. The only way “Obama Care has survived this long is through subsidies. And the subsidies went to the insurance companies, not to policy holders. Insurance companies became filthy rich because of “Obama Care.”

Democrats promised free health care for all illegal immigrants. Now they find themselves in a huge mess. This is why Chuck Schumer, minority leader of the Senate, held 42 million snap recipients hostage during the shut down. Schumer wanted a resolution to what he and the Democrats had done to the country with the skyrocketing health insurance crisis (Obama Care) made worse by free health care for illegal immigrants.
